Dividends
GIL’s dividend policy is to pay out most of the profit after tax after taking into consideration GIL’s requirements for future growth. GIL will declare dividend out of retained profit under certain circumstances.
The expected amount and key dates for dividends declared by the Board of Directors are advised via SGX-ST Announcements.
GIL has also adopted a scrip dividend scheme, which will provide shareholders with the opportunity to make an election to receive dividends in the form of shares, instead of in cash. The Manager of GIL will notify shareholders when the scheme is activated.

Interim 2021 Distribution
On 12 August 2021, the Board of GIL declared an interim dividend of 0.40 Singapore cents per share for the period from 1 January 2021 to 30 June 2021. The dividend will be paid on 7 October 2021. The Company’s Scrip Dividend Scheme will be applicable to this interim dividend.
Full Year 2020 Distribution
On 23 February 2021, the Board of GIL proposed a final dividend of 0.40 Singapore cents per share for the period from 1 July 2020 to 31 December 2020. The dividend will be paid on 10 June 2021. The Company’s Scrip Dividend Scheme will be applicable to this full year dividend.

On 12 August 2020, the Board of GIL declared an interim dividend of 0.40 Singapore cents per share for the period from 1 January 2020 to 30 June 2020. The dividend was paid on 7 October 2020. The Company’s Scrip Dividend Scheme will be applicable to this interim dividend.
Full Year 2019 Distribution
On 18 June 2020, the Board of GIL proposed a final dividend of 0.50 Singapore cents per share for the period from 1 July 2019 to 31 December 2019. The dividend will be paid on 5 August 2020. The Company’s Scrip Dividend Scheme will be applicable to this full year dividend.

On 8 August 2019, the Board of GIL declared an interim dividend of 0.50 Singapore cents per share for the period from 1 January 2019 to 30 June 2019. The dividend was paid on 12 October 2019. The Company’s Scrip Dividend Scheme will be applicable to this interim dividend.
Full Year 2018 Distribution
On 21 February 2019, the Board of GIL proposed a final dividend of 0.50 Singapore cents per share for the period from 1 July 2018 to 31 December 2018. The dividend was paid on 21 June 2019. The Company’s Scrip Dividend Scheme will be applicable to this full year dividend.

On 8 August 2018, the Board of GIL declared an interim dividend of 0.50 Singapore cents per share for the period from 1 January 2018 to 30 June 2018. The dividend was paid on 12 October 2018. The Company’s Scrip Dividend Scheme will be applicable to this interim dividend.
Full Year 2017 Distribution
On 20 February 2018, the Board of GIL declared a final dividend of 0.60 Singapore cents per share for the period from 1 July 2017 to 31 December 2017. The dividend was paid on 24 April 2018. The Company’s Scrip Dividend Scheme will be applicable to this full year dividend.

On 11 August 2017, the Board of GIL declared an interim dividend of 0.65 Singapore cents per share for the period from 1 January 2017 to 30 June 2017. The dividend was paid on 16 October 2017. The Company’s Scrip Dividend Scheme will be applicable to this interim dividend.
Full Year 2016 Distribution
On 23 February 2017, the Board of GIL declared a final dividend of 0.75 Singapore cents per share for the period from 1 July 2016 to 31 December 2016. The dividend was paid on 25 April 2017. The Company’s Scrip Dividend Scheme will be applicable to this full year dividend.

On 5 August 2016, the Board of GIL declared an interim dividend of 0.75 Singapore cents per share for the period from 1 January 2016 to 30 June 2016. The dividend was paid on 12 October 2016. The Company’s Scrip Dividend Scheme will be applicable to this interim dividend.
Full Year 2015 Distribution
On 25 February 2016, the Board of GIL declared a final dividend of 0.75 Singapore cents per share for the period from 1 July 2015 to 31 December 2015. The dividend was paid on 27 April 2016. The Company’s Scrip Dividend Scheme will be applicable to this full year dividend.
